As an old person you’re devalued. But now suddenly we are in great demand!
My name is Juan I’m 93. I have arthritis and high cholesterol. I survived cancer. Back in my youth these diseases were a death sentence, but something odd happened. The children in the world stopped sleeping
it just happened overnight. It started with a little boy then a little girl. Doctors thought it was a virus.
To sleep a full eight hours was unheard of. It all started with Generation Z. Once eight hours plus of sleep started to lessen five hours, to three to one hour( very rare) now just minutes a day, sometimes seconds.
The older doctors and nurses were baffled, seeing this new disorder, full body scans, isolated parts of the brain scanned, entire brains scanned. I was lucky my children did not get the Restless. My wife Rebecca and I started our family in the 1960’s. Things were just simpler, slower . I miss those days. In 1989 my wife died of cancer. By the time she was diagnosed it was too late. But now cancer research just come so far but not far enough until now.
Baby boomers!
When we hit 50, it’s all downhill. That’s what I used to think. Now since the Restless more research has been put into keeping us old folks alive! My poor Rebecca I wish she could have held on longer.
Why your wondering? Why invest in the elderly?
We still sleep. complete unconsciousness every night and sometimes a quick cat nap is wonderful!
Science is trying to figure out why we can still sleep
While the Restless are awake.
